Vice President, Healthcare Supply Chain-2061
The VP creates and fosters strategic relationships with the health system executives of high profile accounts to maximize the value of the relationship, with a significant focus on driving contract penetration and supply chain cost reduction. The Vice President will serve as manager of assigned existing accounts, and will be accountable for achieving pre-determined deliverables. The Vice President serves as the one face for our high profile members, to promote broader value proposition.
Major Accountabilities * Serves as account manager for assigned high profile clients, developing and implementing a strategic account management plan through collaboration with all stakeholders for owner and member hospitals in assigned region; coordinates regional resources to meet customer’s needs and achieve plan goals. * Develops and manages the region's budget, including profit and loss responsibility, forecasting revenue and expense, and resource deployment. * Builds strategic relationships with key owner stakeholders including formal and informal decision-makers. Direct involvement with each member, preferably at the executive suite level, should beat least quarterly. Frequency may increase based on needs of specific members. Primary contacts include CFOs, COOs and CEOs. * Delivers and drives contract penetration objectives, contract launch objectives, and supply chain cost reduction objectives. * Quantifies and communicates to all key owner stakeholders progress against supply chain improvement plans and broader value delivered by my client. Ensures owner teams understand each member's strategic and fiscal position, expressed goals and unexpressed needs, current level of satisfaction with value delivered by my client and openness to deeper engagement. * Manages to a balanced scorecard. Responsible for validated savings.
Requirements: * Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required, Masters Degree preferred. Business, Healthcare or related discipline * A minimum of 10 years health care and related experience, including demonstrated team building and leadership, exceptional verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills. * Previous supply chain, business development, and customer retention experience required. * 4-6 years- management experience * Strong leadership skills/drive to achieve results • Account management • Business and strategic advisor • Comfort around higher management (executives) • Broad understanding of healthcare industry • Priority setting • Interpersonal ability * This position requires 50% travel to meet and build relationships/collaboration with health systems.
