Supplier Quality Engineer
Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.
- Providing procurement quality engineering support to Hamilton Sundstrand Power System Engineered, Distributed hardware, and Electrical Commodity suppliers.
Responsibilities includes:
1. Working with suppliers to reduce defects, data analysis/reporting, inspection and acceptance of hardware.
2. Investigating and resolving non-conformances and escapes by utilizing industry and UTC investigation tools and practices, RRCA, 8-D, FMEA, and driving initiatives to implement robust root cause corrective actions and mistake proofing.
3. Review, disposition, and approve AS9102 FAI (first article inspection).
4. As required, supporting supplier audits, process, and technical reviews.
5. Supporting all aspects of product development and/or production, review of designs, MRB request activity, supplier request for information, and PO flow down requirements.
6. Supporting Quality Clinic collaborations and lead in the processing, performing (RRCA) corrective actions, and mistake proofing associated with nonconforming hardware discovered in inspection, assembly or test.
7. Ability to work independently and provide on-site technical/quality support of part family transitions to low-cost suppliers.
8. Use/Familiarity with quality tools like Process Certification, Standard Work, PPAP, a plus
Candidate must work well in a team environment and across various functional departments within the company. Must possess the ability to prepare and make technical presentations as required.
Must be a US citizen or have permanent US work status.
This job is best suited to a self motivated individual with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Positive "can do" attitude with a passion for continuous improvement is a must. Travel approx 30%.

Minimum of 5 years experience in the Electronics / Engineered hardware field preferred. Familiarity with Gas Turbine Engines or Automotive is a plus.
ASQ certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
Certification as Six Sigma Black Belt a plus
